Narn

The Narn history is one of excessive pain and continuing hardship. A long time ago, according to tales told by G'Quan, the planet Narn was used as a base for an unidentified species, which in the course of their short stay weeded out all Narn telepaths, not only existing at the time, but even in potentia, thus denying the Narn species to develop telepathic abilities in the future.

Just around the time Narns achieved space flight, they were invaded by the Centauri, starting a time of oppression and suffering. After a prolonged struggle, Narn was able to throw off this yoke temporarily, starting a bloodfeud between the two species that would last decades.

In 2259 the Centauri effectively ended resistance by annihilating the Narn space fleet, and bombing the Narn homeworld into the stoneage. Slow to recover from such a temendous blow, the Narn still managed to return like for like in an orbital shelling of the Centauri homeworld two years and a half later.
