Sinclair started out as a fighter pilot in the Earth Alliance, career military like his father before
him and his father before him. He rose in rank quickly, commanded a squadron of Starfuries in the
Earth Minbari War, and was promoted to Commander afterwards. It was the identification of a Minbari soul
heving been reborn into a human body, namely his, that saved the human race from extinction at the Battle of
the Line, by causing the religious caste to end the holy waged against the humans.
He was in command of Babylon 5 from its inception, managing the in effect military garrison for a year
before he accepted posting to the Minbari Homeworld as an Human Ambassador to the Minbari. Not much is known
about him afterwards, although it is rumored that he joined a Minbari order and spends the rest of his days
in spiritual mediatation.
Recently there have been a number of unconfirmed stories circulating about Sinclair. The Minbari religious
caste seems to hold him in awe close to their most holy figure, Valen. It is also reported that Sinclair
now holds the position of Enthil'zha, or First One among the Rangers, the fanatically dedicated paramilitary
arm of the religious caste. Judging by his postings, it would seem that Sinclair is blessed with a
Minbari soul.
As of 2260 nothing is heard about Sinclair anymore, indeed, he is even succeeded as Ranger One by Delenn.
(Note: It would seem that the triluminary, which was used to identify his Minbari soul, does not indicate
just any soul of Minbari origin, but rather those which have particular proximity to Valen's own.)

A solid, dependable man, Sheridan has risen through the ranks of Earth Force at a somewhat
accelerated pace. He is the only officer on record to have scored a tactical victory against
the Minbari during the Earth Minbari War, when he destroyed their flagship "Black Star".
Sheridan has taken command of Babylon 5, succeding Jeffrey Sinclair. During his time at Babylon 5
he plays a leading role in the political development of firstly Babylon 5 itself, and later
the forming of the Interstellar Alliance, of which he will be president, after he is discharged
from Earth Force in response to his role in the Earth Civil War of 2260.
It is also of note that Sheridan is the only being ever to have returned from Z'Ha'Dhum, alive.

After his imprisonment for traitorous activity Franklin tramps the spaceways, offering his knowledge in

Lyta was the first posted telepath to Babylon 5. Babylon 5, being an EA facility, qualifies for a
P5 telepath posting.
She is the only human to ever see and scan a Vorlon being. Immediatly following this encounter,
she is transfered to Earth, surely with intent to gain access to her singular knowledge and
experience.
She is not heard of for a while, but breaks with the Psi Corps, forcing her to flee from their grasp.
On her flight from captivity she passes through Babylon 5 on her way to Vorlon space.
Once more she disappears for some time, only to set another precedent, namely to be the only human
to return from Vorlon space alive. It appears the Vorlons not only refrained from attacking her,
but embraced her wholeheartedly.
She is a key to the discovery that telepathic powers are a mere utility, a weapon of war in the struggle
of Vorlon against Shadow. Her abilities have grown in orders of magnitude, intended as a final
doomsayer in this war.
After the war is won, her life has lost focus, but she finds another cause that fills her large and
compassionate heart, the wellbeing of the now orphaned telepaths of all races.

Second in command in the hierarchy of Babylon 5 security, Zack Allen is a born seargant. He is
an invaluable help to Security Chief Micheal Garibaldi, and later succeeds him as Chief of
Security of Babylon 5.
A seasoned veteran of Earth Force, he asks for and receives posting to Babylon 5 after the rotation
of his predecessor, Lou Welch.
Within a short while, Allen becomes as familiar to Babylon 5 as the peculiar gunmetal gray of the
Zocalo floor, and while he was not there when it was built, he will be there when it is decomissioned.
During his stay there he does build a lasting friendship with the command staff, and especially Michael
Garibaldi.

Marcus Cole lost his older brother when the Shadows attacked the mining colony he was staying at.
His brother, being a ranger, warned him of danger, which Marcus ignored.
His brother saved his life at the cost of his own. In memory for him, and also for atonement,
Marcus joined the Rangers, following his brothers footsteps.
He is often seen on Babylon 5, either on business, or just in transit.
Being in love with Ivanova, he sacrifices his life for her when she is mortally wounded in 2261,
by transfering his life-energy to her with a strange alien device.

Lieutenant Commander Elizabeth Lochley succeeds Susan Ivanova as second in command of Babylon 5
while the station is still officially independant from earth in 2262.
She applies for the posting after a period of, to her unsatisfying, deskwork. Sheridan approves
of her as Lt. Cmdr., even in light of their history together (just out of the acadamy they were
married for a very short, but intense, while).
In such trying times, Lochley masters her task of keeping Babylon 5 in one piece, even though it
officialy is independant, in addition to being the official headquarters (temporary) of the
Interstellar Alliance.

She keeps her personal distance from the rest of the crew, and fends off Mr. Garibaldi's occasional
advances coldly. A complicated relationship develops between her and Lt. Commander Ivanova during
her 2 years on the station, which comes to a sudden end when in 2259 she is found out to be a Psi
Corps plant.

Born Lise Hampton, she is a martian born and bred. She met Michael Garibaldi when he was working for
Mars Security. They managed to keep up a relationship for a while until Garibaldi opted out of life
by way of inebriety, until he was convinced by Sinclair to join him on Babylon 5 as Security Chief.
Having lost touch from then on, Garibaldi tried, unsuccesfully, to reopen that chapter in his life
with her, only to find out she had married in the meantime, and later that her first husband might be
gone, but that she had married again (becoming Lise Hampton Edgars of Edgars Industries).
After the fall of Edgars at the hands of the Psi Corps, ironically by means of Michael Garibaldi,
Lise and Michael manage to find together one more time.

Warren Keffer is a starfury pilot of great skill, stationed on Babylon 5.
Early in 2259 he had a mysterious encounter in hyperspace, and for the next months he should spend much
of his time trying to find out what he had run across. His squad leader died in said encounter
and thus Keffer was promoted to the rank of squad leader in his stead.
After several months of search he finally picked up a trace of the mysterious alien vessel, and he paid
for that discovery with his life, only having enough time left so send of a drone with recorded footage
of the vessel.
Due to his discovery everybody became aware of the existance of the Shadows, and thus he unknowingly
caused the increased pace with which the Shadows pursued their war afterwards.
